Winter is coming - What is condensation and how do we deal with it?
Cold winter nights await us and with this there are several patients complaining about condensation in their CPAP Tubes and Masks.
Condensation happens when you have a humidifier connected to your CPAP device. The heated air then travels through your hose to your mask but cools down while making its way to you. During this period the moist air forms little water drops in your hose and often in your mask. This can cause a whistling sound or the water drops to reach your face while you sleep, severely affecting your good nights rest.
Luckily there is a solution for this. The ResMed Climate Line Hoses mostly nullifies condensation by slightly heating up the hose. This will ensure that the air stays warm while making its way to you preventing most of the condensation and ensuring a good nights rest.
