FAQs

Your medical aid may pay for medical equipment either from medical appliance benefits or day to day benefits and, in the case of home ventilation, from risk benefits. Funding will be according to your specific plan and the scheme rules. Our trained consultants will assist you with determining how much will be paid and from what benefit.
Not all medical devices have internal batteries, so you may need to source a backup power source. This may come in the form of a battery, inverter, or generator. Please speak to one of our trained consultants for more details on the backup power solutions we supply.
Your CPAP mask and tube should be replaced at least once a year.

Here are some quick tips on how to best clean your equipment (remember to always consult your user guide as your first reference source).

  • Mask – use mild, non-fragrant soap and warm water to clean your mask and tube weekly and CPAP approved wet-wipes for the daily quick clean.
  • Filters – are best kept dry, so check them weekly and wipe them with a wet-wipe to remove fluff. It’s time to replace your filter when it discolours.
  • Machines – use an approved wet-wipe to keep surfaces clean.
There are many sleep testing centres across the country. Drop us an email with your preferred area and we will gladly connect you.
